No space or time defines the Black Woman.

Journey of a Black Girl

Founder and CEO of JOABG, Courtney Brooks began this journey by creating public art exhibition, a curatorial narrative for the Art on the Atlanta BeltLine as the inaugural curator-in -residence in 2020. A year later it has evolved into apparel + merch collection that continues to visually shares experiences from the innocence of black adolescence to black womanhood from a creative’s point of view. Merging the core of self-expression, sisterhood and integrating everyday rituals and practices passed down through our ancestors.

JOABG is dedicated to the moments when we learned we are black. Pour transitions into womanhood where one learns to stand in power, accepting flaws and embracing true beauty of freedom inside and out.

We celebrate Black Girl Magic, because being a Black girl , we never go out of style.
